Valencia is the third largest city in Venezuela and capital of Carabobo.

There are bus connections from Caracas, Barquisimeto, Mérida and Maracaibo. The main bus terminal is located in the Big Low Centre, a popular shopping center to the Northeast of Valencia and close to the San Diego region. Travelers need to take another bus or taxi to go from there to the city of Valencia.

The parque Casupo is an excellent area for hiking. It is located to the West of the city and it offers a good view of Valencia. There are many options to choose from when going out in Valencia. Nightlife is specially cheap and everyone over 18 years old is allowed entrance. Some bars and cafes feature themed nights (for example, karaoke or stand-up comedy nights) during the week and transform into nightclubs during the weekends.
Sambil mall is an upscale mall and usually the best option for shopping. However, it is not cheap. Cheaper options with more variety include Metropolis and Multicentro.
What to eat
Most restaurants are located in the renowned "Calle de los Cafes" in El Viñedo neighborhood. There are differing opinions about how safe it is to walk around the area especially at night. Several dining options are available and some of this restaurants/bars/cafes feature live entertainment on select nights.
